How to Run This Drill

    Catcher in full gear, in their stance.
  2. 2
    Coach bounces tennis balls in the dirt from 20 feet.
  3. 3
    Catcher drops to their knees, chin down, glove between legs.
  4. 4
    Vary locations: left, right, center.
  5. 5
    10 blocks per round, 3 rounds.

  • Catcher's gear

  • Tennis balls remove fear — build confidence first.
  • Chest to the ball, not the glove.
  • Keep the ball in front of you — it doesn't have to be caught.
