How to Run This Drill

    Pitcher stands on the mound (or flat ground).
  2. 2
    Lift lead knee to belt height and hold for 3 seconds.
  3. 3
    Then deliver the pitch to the catcher.
  4. 4
    Focus on balance — no falling off to the side.
  5. 5
    10 reps, then rest.
Equipment Needed
  • Baseballs
  • Gloves
  • Mound or flat ground
Coaching Tips
  • If they wobble, their base foot isn't under them.
  • Chin over belt buckle = good balance.
  • Don't rush — rhythm beats speed at this age.
