How to Run This Drill
  1. 1
Pitcher holds a hand towel by one end.
  2. 2
Go through the full pitching motion from the mound or flat ground.
  3. 3
Snap the towel toward a target (coach's glove or a cone) at release point.
  4. 4
The towel should make a 'snap' sound at full extension.
  5. 5
15-20 reps. No ball needed — pure mechanics work.
Equipment Needed
  • Hand towel
  • Mound or flat ground
Coaching Tips
  • Great for days when pitch count is a concern — zero arm stress.
  • If the towel doesn't snap, they're not extending fully.
  • Can be done at home as homework between practices.
